Frequently asked questions

Everything visitors usually ask before their first parcel arrives. Still curious? Write to us.

How long does shipping take?

Pieces leave the workshop in 3–5 working days and travel with tracking. Most domestic parcels arrive within a week; international orders take 10–20 days depending on customs.

Are your glazes food-safe?

Yes. Every glaze we use is lead-free and food-safe, fired to cone 6 for everyday durability. Stoneware is dishwasher and microwave safe, though hand-washing keeps patterns vivid for decades.

Do you take commissions?

We love them. Dinner sets, wedding favours, restaurant ware — tell us the occasion, quantities and deadline through the contact form. Most custom pieces take 3–4 weeks plus firing time.

What if my piece arrives broken?

Send a photo within 14 days and we will replace or refund it — no return postage, no interrogation. Breakages are rare thanks to double-boxed, cloth-wrapped packing, but the kiln gods are only human.

How do I care for cushions and totes?

Covers zip off and machine-wash cold; line-dry in shade to keep colours bright. Totes spot-clean best — a damp cloth and mild soap handles market-day evidence.

Can I visit the workshop?

Please do. We are at 14 Kiln Lane, Meadowbrook, open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 6pm. Saturday throwing tasters run twice a month — book ahead and wear clothes clay won't mind.
